Overview

Ever wondered why our child rocks, runs, bounces or punches when stressed? Sam explains the connection between body, brain and regulation

By popular demand Sam Asher is back with us from "Journey with me" to look at what movements our child does when stressed and how to help them with activities to calm and regulate their emotions and behaviour.

Sam will be exploring physical development in children, and the positive benefits of regular movement opportunities.Throughout the session we will consider how to create physically active spaces within, and outside of, the home. We will share real-life examples of how this can be incorporated into the daily routine.

Pinpoint are the OFFICIAL Parent Carer Forum for Cambridgeshire providing help and information to parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional needs and disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

Pinpoint have a dedicated part time staff team of SEND parent carers offering signposting and events for all things SEND and opportunities for parents to have a say and get involved in improving local services.

No formal diagnosis is required to access support from Pinpoint – a child may be on a waiting list, accessing services, had a referral turned down, or just be struggling.

You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link to access the session 2 days before, 2 hours before and at the start of the session. Please do check your junk mail and spam folders as these emails sometimes end up there!

Be comfortable at Pinpoint sessions - You can keep your camera off and stay on mute and simply join us and other parent carers who “get it” from your sofa 😊
