Event description

Description

Join the Cantus Ensemble in the atmospheric surroundings of the Church of St Mary-le-Bow - one of the City’s most iconic Wren churches - for a journey from the Theatricals of Day to the realm of sleep and darkness.

We are delighted to be joined by the award-winning Onyx Brass for a programmatic meditation on the nature of day and night, wakefulness and sleep, and the liminal states between them.

Featuring works by the acclaimed British composer Jonathan Dove, American choral sensation Eric Whitacre and Tarik O’Reagan (of Irish and Algerian descent) - and enhanced by movement and gesture from choir, soloists and brass quintet - this sensory exploration of the relationship between light and darkness is not to be missed.

As day turns into night, there could be no better way to spend a summer’s evening.
