Event description

Description

’Incorporating Coaching Tools into Therapy’.

Are you ready to add a new dimension to your work as a practitioner?

Yes? Then come along to the next (highly discounted) workshop by The CBT’ers Club!

We are providing a ‘Fiver Freebie’ this time around and offering those Registered Members of The CBT’ers Club who HAVE attended any of events/meetings previously (except Social Gatherings, since they are free) the opportunity to come to an event for ONLY £5 (plus Eventbrite fee). We are offering this as a THANK YOU for your support over the years since we started in 2013.

If you are a Registered Members and wish to come along, but haven’t been to any of our events/meetings yet, you can attend too. However, please note the fee will be £10 plus Eventbrite fee, which is still extremely GREAT VALUE and cheaper than all of our other events/meetings. Where else can you get 3 hours of CPD for £5-£10?

(Please note, we do have a record of who has attended events, so please ONLY select the ‘Fiver Freebie’ ticket option if you have attended a previous event. Otherwise, please select the £10 ticket. Thanks!).

WORKSHOP DETAILS

This is a P.E.D.S Workshop and constitutes 3 hours of CPD. Certificates of Participation will be provided at the end of the workshop. P.E.D.S stands for Presentation, Experiences, Discussion and Skills meaning that the workshop will include some presentations from our Speakers, small and large group discussions, sharing of experiences and some skills practice. Please see section at the bottom for information about the Speakers.

This is a 3-hour workshop that aims to introduce Members to some of the ideas, principles and tools involved in coaching. It’s not a comprehensive course in coaching (we are looking into offering a more detailed and comprehensive 1-day and 2-day course in the future). However, it will offer Members some of the basic ideas surrounding coaching and you will learn a couple of tools and techniques that you can take away with you and use with clients/incorporate into your own clinical practice as a psychotherapist, counsellor or psychologist.

An outline of the workshop is as follows:

  • Welcome and Introductions

  • What is Coaching? (Presentation/Speaker and Group Activity)

  • Introduction to Coaching (Presentation/Speaker)

  • Coaching Model (Presentation/Speaker)

  • Experiences of Coaching (Group Activity/Discussion)

  • Break (15-20 minutes)

  • Discussion and Demonstration of 2-3 Coaching Tools/Techniques (you can use with clients) (Presentation/Speaker)

  • Skills Practice (Group Activity)

  • Large Group Discussion (Discussion)

  • Final Thoughts/Questions and Answers

  • Close

Our events and gatherings are informal and friendly and we always aim to make things as relaxed as possible. It also gives you a great chance to meet new people (or meet up with those you have already met through The CBT'ers Club), get support, share concerns, worries or ideas and feel less isolated in y our work (being a therapist can be lonely at times, can't it). Everyone is really friendly and welcoming and regular and new Members are welcome to come along.

Tea, coffee, refreshments, biscuits provided (as are Certificates and Membership Packs, handouts (if applicable). However, we will have a break (around 15-20 minutes) and you are free to bring some lunch with you, if you wish.

The meeting will start promptly at 11am, so please ensure you arrive 5 or 10 minutes before the meeting starts. Thank you for your co-operation!

Spaces are limited, so please book soon to avoid disappointment. Once booked, NO REFUNDS will be given, even following cancellation. If you wish, you can give someone else your ticket (please do let us know if you do this though, so we know who to expect and can provide him/her with a Certificate). If you find you can no longer attend, please email us directly to let us know, as there is often a Waiting List in place for our events and gathering.
