Event description
A rare chance to dance to the award-winning folk band 422!

About this Event

The Ceilidh Project was launched in 2019 to bring some of the best folk bands in the UK to Teesdale, to share our passion for traditional music and dance with local audiences. On Saturday 28th September, Mickleton Village Hall opens its doors for a fantastic evening, with a full bar and food also available on the night.

422 are a folk band and ceilidh band based in the North East of England. They play music from all over the world with a Northern English Bias. Since winning the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 1999, they have released 4 albums. They have a wealth of experience of playing for dancing, and know exactly how to give the tunes that extra ‘swing’ to make you want to dance.
