This training is custom made for scientists, academics and professionals working in the environment and sustainability sectors.
The course will provide you with an integrated leadership tool kit for use on your own ideas/material during the course. The tools can be put to work immediately after the course has finished.

The course provides a set of tools and interactive learning experiences with a focus on 3 key areas:
Day 1: Creative and Strategic Thinking - Encouraging individuals and groups to think more creatively and strategically about key problems and opportunities.
Day 2: Influencing Behaviour - Practical leadership tools and strategies for effective communication with people inside and outside your organisation.
Day 3: Enabling Action - Tools for the development of effective strategies and networks around your big ideas and projects. Sessions on time management and action planning are included to enable participants to implement course practices in the workplace.
The course will start each day at 9:00pm and will end at 5:30pm on the Days 1 and 2. On Day 3 the course will finish at 5:00pm.
Course Fee: $1150 - NOTE: Early booking discounted fee $950 (until 17 February 2017)
Lunch is included in the fee.
Overnight accommodation in Minneapolis is not included in the course fee. Participants are asked to make their own arrangements.

The Barefoot Thinking Company
The Challenge of Science Leadership is run by the Barefoot Thinking Company Ltd and is delivered in conjunction with our academic partner, Plymouth University Marine Institute. The course has been developed over the past 7 years from Barefoot’s work with the Stanford University Leopold Leadership Program, Google.org, the VEGA Fellows Leadership and Communication Program in Sweden, the University of Toronto’s Science Leadership Program and Barefoot’s own training work with scientists in the UK.
