Join Plan International UK and partners She Is Not Your Rehab (SINYR) to celebrate our work in Wales to tackle violence against young women and girls, and its roots in gender inequality and harmful gender norms and stereotypes.
Plan International UK are delighted to welcome She Is Not Your Rehab back to Wales, a global movement birthed from a barbershop in New Zealand. Founded by Mataio and Sarah Brown, SINYR is an anti-violence movement, created to address and dismantle cycles of intergenerational trauma, violence and abuse, by promoting safe relationships and providing support for individuals and communities.
This exciting event marks the culmination of 7 years of ground-breaking work to ensure all young people can develop healthy self identifies and positive relationships.
Join us for this exciting event, and:
- Learn about the change we want to see in Wales, including a vision for a Wales without violence and the impact of our work to tackle gender inequality
- Hear a special keynote presentation from She Is Not Your Rehab and their message of hope and possibility
- Learn about our work with Taith and the Moondance Foundation to create the conditions for change to happen
- Get a copy of Plan International UK’s new insight report into the impact of sexual harassment and online harm on young people, and learn how early life experiences can lead to harmful behaviours, with insights from professionals and young people to help combat and address these cycles.
