South Seeds is a community-led organisation based in the south of Glasgow. We work in partnership with residents and local groups to help improve the look and feel of the Southside and help residents to reduce energy bills and tackle waste issues.  We encouraging people to become involved in exercise by participating in environmental improvement projects, gardening and similar activities and by promoting healthy eating, healthy food production and healthy lifestyles.See more at:http://southseeds.org

The Old Changing Rooms

Gain experience in decorating, gardening, using tools safely, building raised growing beds and much more.Meet ups start at 6pm and run till 7.30pm, on:Wednesday 29 AprilThursday 30 AprilWednesday 6 MayThursday 7 MayWednesday 13 MayThursday 14 MaySouth Seeds has been transforming the Changing Rooms on Queen’s Park recreation ground to put it back into community use.At work party sessions you will meet our coordinator plus other volunteers, join in with tasks and have the option of biscuits during the tea breaks.Book your place, so we can expect you. Arrive at the Changing Rooms (check map for location) for 6pm on the day of the session. The entrance to the Changing Rooms site is just off the main path which runs through Queen’s Park recreation ground. To enter the site go through the gate in the black fence which is visible from the path.Please wear work clothes suitable for all weather. We have no plans to cancel due to changes in the weather. There are toilets and handwashing facilities on site.If you have any further questions, call us on 0141 636 3959 or pop in to our unit at 514 Victoria Road (open weekdays 9-5 and Saturday 10-2).Thanks for booking your place and we look forward meeting you.
