Lost In Leith and The Good Egg Project presents: The Chicken Coop Writing Group Open Mic

Join us on Tuesday, December 9, from 6.30-9.30 pm for a celebration of writing by The Chicken Coop Writing Group at Lost in Leith Bar & Fermentaria with The Good Egg Project Community and Leith-based writer Naomi Head.

The Chicken Coop Open Mic is a curated open mic scratch night sharing new writing from members of the Good Egg Project writing community. Writers will read from or perform works written at any Good Egg Project event or using our writing prompts.

If you'd like to perform on December 9, please get in touch with Naomi on Instagram or through Substack to secure a spot. Some slots may be available on the day, but advanced sign ups will be guaranteed.

About The Chicken Coop Writing Group

Writers of all levels and genres are welcome at this monthly group on the last Tuesday of the month at Lost in Leith Bar. Naomi guides writers through open-ended, multi-disciplinary writing exercises and exciting and supportive sharing sessions. From short story writing or poetry to creative non-fiction or copywriting (plus everything in between), you'll find something to spark your creativity at the Coop. You can find examples of our tasks in the Good Egg Project newsletter on Substack.

Tickets and pricing

To keep all Good Egg Project events accessible, we offer pay-what-you-can tickets with a minimum suggested donation of £5.

Your donations cover and contribute to the following:
£5 covers materials for the writing group
£7.50 will cover materials for the writing group and Naomi's organisation time
£10+ covers the above and a pay-it-forward ticket for people who can't afford to pay and any profits are reinvested in future Good Egg Project events

Alternatively, if you're not in the position to pay, please message Naomi to let her know and we'll reserve you a space with no questions asked.
