The Children's World Charity
"Helping children and young people address challenging issues such as disability, bullying, integration and major life changes, through participation in performance, drama, puppetry and film-making projects."
Doors open at 4.30pm and the music kicks off at 5pm, with the first of five bands:
The Back Wood Redeemers who'll whipping up songs of dark country, twisted blues & religious fervour.
Next up at 6.30 pm are new wave and country band, the Bad Cowboys.
At 8pm we have the very great pleasure of welcoming to the stage the one and only Mr Glenn Tilbrook, who has made the Greenroom Bar his local and become a staunch supporter of Children's World. It wouldn't be the same without you, thank you Glenn.
At 9.30pm it's the turn of UK Ska legends, the Emperials, an 8 piece powerhouse who put their own take on classic ska songs, from the days of 2tone, Trojan and Studio One. A sure-fire dancehall filler who pack out the floor and leave the crowd shouting for more.
After one last chance to get your breath back and some more liquid into you, one of the biggest cult bands around, Tankus the Henge will step up and unleash their very own brand of 'Gonzo' rock and roll. With a formidable reputation for both the frequency and intensity of their live performances, Tankus are sure to wind up the night with a Moorish blend of wild showmanship and musical dexterity.
Throughout the evening the Greenroom Bar's very own DJ Random and Toby Marks will be spinning the tunes that make you breath more easily.
The Bar crew will be on hand right through the evening providing, as they always do, a fine choice of beers wines and spirits. Bring along your old greenroom cups and save on buying a new one.
There will be Greenroom Bar on Tor T'shirts and posters for sale on the night.
Thanks go to; Rich, Sue and the whole Greenrom Bar Team, Kristen and Paddy at Children's World, Glastonbury Mayor Emma George and the town council hall staff. Pip and all the bands, Charlie Miller, Dan Neagle and HDO productions, Henry Bassadone and S&H hire. Dave Thorpe & Enlightened Lighting, Tor Rugby Club and......
