Welcome to The Christie Proton e-School.
Join us for an exciting five weeks of virtual learning as the The Christie Institute for Cancer Education delivers ‘The Christie Proton Therapy e-School’ from November to December 2025.
Overview
This education programme has been developed by experts who are internationally renowned in the field of proton therapy. The teaching faculty have first-hand experience in setting up and developing the proton centre as well as experience in managing the patient treatment pathway. The faculty will be available throughout the course for questions.

Intended Audience
A comprehensive proton education programme for clinicians, researchers, physicists, dosimetrists, radiographers and others with an interest in proton therapy.
Dates and module delivery
Week 1 – 5th November (Weds), 6th November (Thurs) and 7th November (Fri)
Week 2 – 10th November (Mon), 12th November (Weds) 13th November (Thurs)
Week 3 – 18th November (Tues), 19th November (Weds) and 20th November (Thurs)
Week 4 – 27th November (Thurs) and 28th November (Fri)
Week 5 – 2nd December (Tues), 3rd December (Wed) and 5th December (Fri)
The above sessions will commence at the same time each day 08:00-10:15 GMT *
*Some sessions may have a later finishing time of 10:30, and are subject to change, so please be aware when booking the course*
A 5 min comfort break will be scheduled into each session

Alongside these, the faculty includes programme managers, project managers and practitioners who have been directly involved in the development of a highly successful proton service.
Day to day decision making processes will be demonstrated, including the opportunity to talk through real world cases.
The faculty will share their experiences and highlight key learning points.
