An exciting exhibition of high class model railway layouts with many trade stands and other attractions, including film shows and demonstrations of modelling techniques. The layouts are in a variety of scales, and show railways of different periods and countries. There will be many finescale exhibits of exceptional quality for the serious modeller, and also layouts to appeal to the wider public and particularly the children. Some layouts will be available for visitors to operate and there is a free to enter children's competition to win a complete train set!
Advance ticket holders receive a free exhibition guide and have a dedicated entrance, beating the queues.
Up to two children under 16 are admitted free with each adult ticket.
The exhibition venue is only a 3 minute walk from Piccadilly mainline station and Metrolink tram stop, and there is ample parking nearby.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Unaccompanied children under the age of 16 are not admitted, but up to two children may enter free with each fee paying adult. ID will not normally be required, but the organisers reserve the right to ask for evidence of identity or proof of purchase.
If the ticket has been transferred to another person, then evidence of ID will be required. (See below.)
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Barnes Wallis building is les than three minutes walk from Piccadilly train and Metrolink tram stop (leave by the Fairfield Street exit.) Maps, written directions and video descriptions of the routes to the venue by car are available on the Society's website, together with information about bus routes.
There is a multi-storey carpark within 200m of the venue, the postcode for sat-nav is M1 3BB. There is NO public vehicular access to the venue itself.
Visitors arriving by taxi should ask to be dropped at The Gatehouse, Sackville Street. The venue is about 150m from this point along a level pedestrian walkway.
