About this Event
On March 8th, The Circle will be hosting an International Women’s Day ‘Circles of Change’ event to mark this important annual moment as we re-commit to gender equality. Please join us and be inspired.
• 5:30pm – 6:30pm GMT – Event featuring: Founder of The Circle, Annie Lennox; esteemed guest speaker Baroness Lola Young; broadcaster Lindsey Hilsum and project partner, The Marie Colvin Journalist Network; music performance TBA
There is no doubt that International Women's Day (IWD) 2021 is a crucial moment. The Gates Foundation estimates the 25 years of gains made in gender equality are at threat of being wiped out in just 25 weeks, due to the pandemic. This year, The Circle is gathering all our amazing supporters and warmly welcoming all who believe in inclusive, global feminism and those wanting to learn more to celebrate IWD with us. Together, at this critical time, we will make a pledge for gender equality and raise vital funds to support the world’s most vulnerable women and girls. Our IWD event returns to the true ethos of The Circle to amplify and bring together inspiring women and allies in our lives, whilst at the same time pledging to re-commit and be active changemakers for gender equality for all women and girls.
It is, in this moment, against all odds, that we unite against inequality and recommit to the empowerment and support of the most vulnerable women and girls. We hope that you will join us to celebrate and pledge your solidarity with us on International Women's Day 2021!

ABOUT THE CIRCLE:
The Circle is a unique and dynamic women-led organisation of global feminists empowering the most vulnerable and marginalised women and girls globally. Founded by singer, songwriter and activist Annie Lennox, The Circle is focussed on fighting for equality and safety for some of the most disempowered women and girls around the world.
It is driven by the knowledge that when women come together and organise, they are a powerful force for change. We have long seen how the collective power of women throughout history has made significant change, and this is our unique strength. We are proud to have brought together a diverse network of women from all walks of life and backgrounds who have something in common: the belief that by working together we can create a world where women and girls have equal rights and equal opportunities.
