Why is it so special? How can you participate? Are you one of the innovators that will help transform a city towards the Circular Economy? How can you apply?

What is the Circular City Challenge?

The Circular City Challenge will bring together an exciting new cross-innovation of a number of cities who will work towards the transformation of cities’ towards the Circular Economy.

The Circular City Challenge calls on innovators of the Circular Economy to find answers to the challenges of the transformation to a circular urban system.

Through joining the challenge you will get a unique chance to demonstrate the potential of your work directly to local stakeholders within the Circular Economy. You will have the opportunity to interact with representatives of the cities to enable you to tailor your solution to the existing needs of the city.

For this, your project should address at least one of the four key challenges of the Circular City Challenge: Resource Management, Digital Technologies, System Infrastructure and Consumption & Awareness. We are looking for innovators who are motivated to help shape the local transition to a Circular Economy, be it local organisations, entrepreneurs or companies.

Was ist die Circular City Challenge?

Die Circular City Challenge bringt eine Reihe von Städten zusammen, die an der Umstellung der Städte zu einer Kreislaufwirtschaft arbeiten.

Die Circular City Challenge ruft Innovator*innen der Kreislaufwirtschaft dazu auf, Antworten auf die Herausforderungen bei der Transformation zu einem zirkulären Städtesystem zu finden.

Durch die Teilnahme an der Challenge erhalten Sie die einmalige Chance, das Potenzial Ihrer Arbeit direkt den lokalen Akteur*innen der Kreislaufwirtschaft zu demonstrieren. Sie werden die Möglichkeit haben, mit Vertreter*innen der Städte zu interagieren, damit Sie Ihre Lösung an die bestehenden Bedürfnisse der Stadt anpassen können.

Dabei sollte Ihr Projekt mindestens eine der vier zentralen Herausforderungen der Circular City Challenge ansprechen: Ressourcenmanagement, digitale Technologien, Systeminfrastruktur und Verbrauch & Bewusstsein. Wir suchen nach Innovator*innen, die motiviert sind, den lokalen Übergang zu einer Kreislaufwirtschaft mitzugestalten, seien es lokale Organisationen, Unternehmer*innen oder Unternehmen.
