Event description

Description

Best Folk Performance and CalMac Culture winners The Coaltown Daisies are a duo of singer-songwriters who write and perform folk, soul and americana music. Detailing their music with dual harmonies, thought-provoking lyrics and dynamic arrangements, they are achieving great success; they have become renowned for their audience interaction, which is as much a part of their shows as their musical performance. Described as 'spell-binding', 'spine-tingling' and 'breath-taking', The Coaltown Daisies have performed at an abundance of venues and festivals on their journey so far and have worked with a number of the UK’s most established artists.

They continue to progress strongly in the Scottish live music scene with their debut album and recent EP released on their own Ragged Boot Records label and featuring some of Scotland's most highly credited musicians; their wonderfully produced recordings continue to make listeners happy the world over. Their latest release features a composition that was chosen as the original theme for World Whisky Day. They are renowned for their highly engaging live performances and steady professionalism and want to continue sharing their music as far and wide as possible with great plans to keep on doing so, both home and overseas. They have an action-packed calendar of live performances up and down the country and the recording of their already highly-anticipated second album to look forward to.

The Coaltown Daisies are definitely the ones to watch.
