The Cocoa Kids Fest - Epsom Downs Racecourse

We have some very exciting news, Cocoa Kids Fest is back this summer!

On Sunday 14th August between 12 pm -6pm, we will be having a fun children’s festival. We aim to celebrate you and your family. We have not had a summer festival before and thought it would be great to come together and have one big party.

So where will the festival take place?

Epsom Downs Racecourse is in a beautiful Surrey location. We have decided to use the racecourse venue this year for our Summer Cocoa Kids Fest.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

1. SPORTS ACTIVITIES

Epsom Downs Park is located next to the venue and families will have safe, easy access to the park to join in with the sports events taking place. The sports activities include:

1. Egg and spoon race (we will use tennis rackets and tennis balls)

2. Archery (using foam sticks with velcro patches)

3. Bowling

4. Bean bag races

5. Sack races

6. Football skills races

7. Children's races

8. Wake up, shake up exercises for children, adults, and parents

9. Parent and Guardians races

10. Elderly and Disable races

11. Obstacle races

12. Three-legged races for adults

We will also have prizes for the winners!

2. INFLATABLES

We will have an array of inflatables for both children and adults.

3. COCOA EXCELLENCE STAGE

The stage will be amazing and will feature inspirational role models, live performances, and a model search competition. Anyone can enter the model search competition; we are looking for children to feature on our September World Afro Day cover.

4. CREATIVE ZONE (5-16 years)

Let’s get your creative juices going! Our creative zone will have t-shirt-making classes, trainer design workshops, art classes and much more…

The Cocoa jourmalism school will also launch at this years Cocoa Kids Fest, children will create their own magazine and a printed copy will be sent to them after the festival.

5. Black History Learning Zone

Join in with some of the discussions about Black history and get to know the companies that have resources so children can learn Black history at home.

6. MINI CAREER FAIR (Teens, 13-18 )

Do you have a teenager that would like advice and help in choosing a career for the future? Well look no further, we have got you covered. Expert advice will be on hand to help teens understand the careers that are available to them.

7. OUTSIDE PARTY TENT

The outside party tent will have a resident DJ and lots of fun activities for adults and children including a dance Soca workout. Be sure to bring your sports clothes.

8. MUSIC AND DANCE HUB (all ages)

Singing and dance workshops will be available throughout the day.

10. SHUTTLE BUS

A shuttle bus will be available to pick guests up from Epsom station and bring them to and from the venue. No need to book, the pick-up will be outside Epsom station.

11. PARKING IS FREE ON SITE

You can park at the venue for free.
