The Colourful Side of My New Wardrobe
Overview
This workshop is the moment your inner world and your outer wardrobe finally sync up. What if what you wear could help you speak more clearly in a meeting, soften the tone of a difficult conversation, or walk into a networking event feeling grounded and confident? That’s the heart of The Colourful Side of My Wardrobe using clothes to support who you are and how you want to show up.
To make the styling practical and personal, we use DISC.
DISC is a simple behavioural framework that helps you understand your natural communication style. It shows how you tend to make decisions, respond under pressure, and interact with others. The four styles are:
Dominance (D) direct, decisive, quick to act.
Influence (I) expressive, sociable, full of energy.
Steadiness (S) calm, supportive, steady and consistent.
Conscientiousness (C) thoughtful, precise, detail-minded.
Many people say DISC gives them a language to behaviours they’ve never quite been able to explain and why some situations feel natural and others feel slightly uphill.
Once you understand your behavioural style, styling becomes a tool rather than a guess.
For example:
A softer, steadier “S” might use bolder colours or more structured outfits when they want to feel braver speaking up.
A lively “I” might choose simpler, cleaner lines when they want their message - not their outfit - to take centre stage.
A detail-focused “C” may lean into polished, intentional styling to signal confidence before the first word.
A strong-willed “D” might use texture or softer tones when they want to feel more approachable.
This isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about letting your wardrobe support what you need from a moment whether that’s warmth, clarity, authority, ease, or confidence.
- Think of the moments where this matters:
- Walking into a room full of strangers and wanting something to anchor you.
- Starting a new job or role and wanting your presence to match your capability.
- Having a tricky conversation and wanting your look to soften the edges.
- Showing up on Zoom and wanting to feel energised rather than flat.
Your clothes speak before you do. DISC helps you understand the message you naturally send, and styling helps you adjust the volume -brighter, softer, bolder, calmer - depending on what will support you best.
This workshop gives you insight into your communication style and practical ways to dress with intention. You’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and a wardrobe that finally feels like it’s working with you instead of against you.
It’s psychology you can wear and confidence you can choose every morning.
