About this event
The Commission on Flags, Identity, Culture and Tradition (FICT) was set up in 2016 in a bid to find consensus on several contentious issues. It consisted of 15 commissioners, including seven from Northern Ireland’s political parties and eight independent members.
The 168-page report was published in December 2021, two years after it was submitted to The First Minister and deputy First Minister. It cost approximately £800,000 and can be found at: https://www.executiveoffice- ni.gov.uk/sites/default/files/publications/execoffice/commission-on-fict-final-report.pdf
Five months on from the publication of the report, Community Dialogue has organised a Zoom event on Wednesday, 1 June 2022, 10-11.30 with the FICT Commission joint Chair, Professor Dominic Bryan to discuss the report and be updated on what implementation plan/roadmap (if any) the Executive has put in place to deliver the 44 recommendations contained within the report.
