Taking its name from the successful compilation series put together by Acid Jazz Records founder Eddie Piller and actor Martin Freeman, The Corner takes the opportunity to bring the soul scene back into Soho. With a strong tradition dating back to The WAG, Le Beat Route and St Moritz, northern, soul, its 70's cousin crossover, funk and gospel have notoriously been conspicuous by their absence from the west end's cultural hub. Piller, along with fellow DJs Dean Rudland, Dean Chalkley and Fredrik Ekander have resolved to bring it home, to Soho Square...

The House of St Barnabas is a charity whose vision is to create a future where lasting work is a reality for people affected by homelessness and social exclusion. Participants in our Employment Academy are given work placements throughout our not-for-profit members' club, enabling them to gain valuable work experience in a vibrant, inclusive and culturally driven space and City&Guilds awards in Hospitality and Employability.
