Event description

Description

A chance to see Warwick's stunning Court House designed and built in 1725 by Francis Smith.

The Court House, Jury Street is nestled in the heart of Warwick steps away from Warwick Castle and St. Mary’s Church. The Court House replaced a medieval tavern one of the few buildings which survived the Great Fire of Warwick in 1694. The Court House now operates as a venue for private events and weddings.

The Events Team will be on site to chat about the venue with prospective wedding couples, party planners and local businesses. While Unlocking Warwick, a volunteer group of historians can share details of the rich history and heritage of The Court House.

Unlocking Warwick will host a tour of The Court House at 11am and 2pm. Guests will be guided around both inside and outside the Grade I listed building and will also be given a flavour of the town’s history, from the founding by King Alfred’s daughter in 914 to the reconstruction in Georgian style after the Great Fire.

How to find us - The Court House Warwick is situated on Jury Street and houses both the Warwick Visitor Information Centre and the Yeomanry Museum.
