About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

This delightful walk starts at the bottom of Craigieburn Hill and we head up a rather steep incline towards the top of the hill.

Along the way we have beautiful views of the hills and the valley.

Once we reach the top of Craigieburn Hill, we'll walk along the forest track back to Moffat and drop down to Jenny's view.

We'll pass Frenchlands Tower, a 16th-century stone tower house

Here we'll see views of Moffat, and enjoy the spectacular beauty and peaceful silence, just as Jenny did.

Heading back into town, we'll pass Frenchlands Tower, originally a 16th-century rectangular stone tower house, founded by the Frenches of Frenchland.

Little is known about this curious piece of heritage but it's well worth a photograph.

Finally, we will pass through Frenchlands Farm and arrive back at the church (registration centre) for our well-earned refreshments.
