This workshop will offer a beautiful restful space to just be, combining mindful and arts based activities to deepen our connection with Nature in a creative way. We will be celebrating the colours and textures of autumn, working with the natural materials in the space to create land art/sculptures.
We are very fortunate to be able to use the site of Heartwood UK CIC. The 1.7 acres of woods in south Manchester is private, with wonderful woodland to explore, 2 sitting circles (one with a fire area), an indoor space incase of bad weather and compost toilets. It is used for outdoor education, forest school and training in both. It is very accessible by public transport and there is parking nearby. More details of exact location and travel will be sent to participants - please look out for an email the week before, and day before the workshop (please check junk/spam if necessary).
All welcome aged 16+. No artistic experience necessary, just a willingness to explore. All materials and refreshments provided.
TIckets £20 + Eventbrite fee.
2 concessionary spaces available @ £12, please email Steffie direct to book one of these: steffie.elhassan@hotmail.co.uk.
Here is some feedback from recent workshops:
'Really nice to start with mindfulness, slowed me down, able to gradually switch off. Looking after wellbeing , put on creative hat but not judgemental'.
'I enjoyed connecting to my senses and my creativity. I feel very calm and grounded, and grateful for nature and art'.
'A gorgeous relaxing afternoon lost in nature with wonderful guides + a lovely group. I felt in the flow with the art sessions, just what I needed'.
