The CTBF Awards and Funding Roadshow
Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund and Northern Film & Media present a showcase event about the prestigious John Brabourne Awards (JBAs) and our recently launched partnership on the North East Travel and Subsistence (NETS) Fund.
At a time when talent development funding is increasingly hard to come by, the JBAs offer a rare, flexible and generous form of support to individuals working behind the scenes in the Film and TV industries. Awards of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to those who are talented and driven but may have faced hurdles in progressing their career. The NETS Fund offers awards of up to £1,500 per year to established North East film and television industry professionals taking part in meetings, events, training and related activities outside the region.
Find out what's on offer, and how to maximise your chances of a successful application, from CTBF Senior Talent Awards Officer, Bradley Down and two recent awardees.
Guests are welcome to join the speakers and organisers at the Tyne Bar after the showcase for an informal chat.
