About this event

The original tribute to British 'Godfathers of Goth'; The Cure. The Cureheads have been together since 1990 and celebrated 30 years together in 2020. They have recreated the look, sound and atmosphere of shows by The Cure and have taken their show around the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Eastern Europe, South America, Japan and The USA.

Special guests for the evening are Siouxie & The Budgiees - From the Happy house to the Hong Kong Garden Takeaway the Budgiees aim to please any fans of the Gothic Punk Queen and her Banshees. The UK based band strive to recreate the sounds, shapes and fashion-influencing style of, perhaps one of the most important influencers of the British Avant Garde scene. The Budgiees are named after The Banshees drummer “Budgie”. They play originals and covers made famous by The Banshees and occasionally are joined onstage by The Cureheads frontman to celebrate the time that Cure frontman Robert Smith was on guitar duty for Siouxsie & The Banshees.

“Sally Holliday of neo-folk supergroup “The Eden House” plays Siouxsie in an amazingly convincing way. Her voice is easily as strong as Siouxsie and the attention to detail in her impression held up well for the entirety of the show. The Budgiees drove the tunes home under “Siouxsie’s” powerful guidance. I think I even shed a tear for my long dead Tippex encrusted leather biker jacket at one point. A very….very nostalgic night.” 10/10 Cathy Grime - London Metro.
