About this event

This free in-person event taking place at The Old Fire Station, Middlesbrough Town Hall, Albert Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 2QJ will look at how small to medium businesses and those working in the education sector can stay safe online and ensure you can take steps to stay cyber secure.

The North East Business Resilience Centre is partnering with Secure Schools at this joint event. Whether you use email, phones, social media or online banking within your business or educational setting, the internet and digital era has been crucial for the success of many.

As a small to medium business, you may not consider yourself to be a likely target however in the last year, two in five UK businesses suffered some form of cyber-attack. Additionally, 83% of UK schools had experienced at least one cyber security incident even though 98% of schools used antivirus software and protection.

By attending this event, you can aim to increase your understanding of cyber security, ask questions, and take steps to protect your all-important data. Whilst enjoying a breakfast sandwich and hot drink of your choice! PLUS! All attendees will be entered into a draw to win a training support bundle for their organisation worth £350.
