The Damages-Based Agreements Regulations Reform Project 2019

Undertaken by Prof. Rachael Mulheron Professor of Tort Law and Civil Justice, QMUL, and Mr Nicholas Bacon QC, 4 New Square

At the conference, the results of the independent review will be presented to the audience, for information and for feedback.

The presentation will include explanations of the following:

  • A redrafted DBA Regulations 2019;

  • An Explanatory Memorandum accompanying the re-drafted Regulations;

  • A Quick Factsheet; and

  • Worked spreadsheets containing in-built formulae, to show the results of worked examples for both personal injury and commercial cases.
