Event description

Description

Join us for an evening of inspiration, sustenance and networking as part of the Enterprise Nation and Facebook, #SheMeansBusiness campaign.

We’ll provide food and thoughts to feed your soul, warm your heart and leave you feeling motivated - hosted on the seafront in one of the coolest spots in town, we’ll provide the view too!

Between each delicious course, you’ll hear from speakers who will share meaningful stories of their own lives and the wisdom they have gained through experience, friendship, business and love.

Our speakers hail from diverse backgrounds, bringing with them riches that will infuse you with goodness that can be directly applied to your life, business and relationships.

You’ll hear from:

APRIL:

  • Katie Byrne - #SheMeansBusiness ambassador and founder of local social enterprise, The Department of Sharing. Katie will discuss her career in tech, fashion and finance; what it’s like to live in New Zealand and how social media can fuel your career or business.

  • April: Helen Prowse - Communications Lead @ Square - wow, what a guest to welcome. Leading the launch of Jack Dorsey's (Twitter founder and CEO) latest innovative venture aimed at revolutionising FinTech for small businesses in the UK.

  • Speaker 3 to be confirmed

MAY:

  • Anita Brightley-Hodge - is the founder and Chairman of Family Business Place, a nationwide network dedicated to promoting and supporting British and Irish family-owned businesses. Her expertise lies in helping businesses plan for succession to the next generation aswell as resolving family disputes and getting family members talking again. She has been interviewed on BBC Radio 4's 'Today' programme, BBC Radio London and BBC Kent as well as being featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph and many other national and local titles.

Running an agency with the social enterprise model is at the heart of what we do, and we’d love you to join us on our journey.

We want to be part of the crowd creating sustainable, collaborative communities that help build a stronger and stable economy. Big vision, right? But in the words of the famous blue and white striped supermarket: “Every Little Helps.”
