I hosted this one-day online workshop in May for the first time and as it was so popular then we are doing it again - especially useful if you want to sell more this Christmas!

This is NOT a technical workshop showing you the back-end of how various softwares work but a step-by-step one-day workshop where I will help you to identify what the best places are to sell online, and how to manage the whole process step by step so it becomes a lot more do-able.

Launch your first website or online shop in a matter of days or weeks. And yes ... this means that you can launch properly in (early) October - perfectly in time for the Christmas season!!


STARTING TO SELL YOUR CREATIVE PRODUCTS ONLINE - WEDNESDAY 20 SEPTEMBER

On Wednesday 20 September from 9.30am - 4pm (UK time) I will be hosting this one-day online workshop on STARTING TO SELL YOUR CREATIVE PRODUCTS ONLINE

During this practical & interactive day I will:

  • Share with you the 9 different ways to show your products online - from your own website to social media, from using popular market places such as Etsy to crowdfunding platforms and much more.

  • Help you to identify which online selling option is best for you, with all the pro and cons of each opportunity + practical tips on what e-commerce or website software to use.

  • Give you my top tips to sell expensive creative products online, and how your website needs to differ from lower cost creative products.

  • Step-by-step how to get started with creating your website - from setting a clear goal and deadline, to creating a brand and selecting your products, to costing and pricing, to writing texts, and how to send your products and promotion. Practical advice to help you finally launch your site confidently!

  • An intro to SEO on how to get your website and products found on popular sites such as Etsy or Not On The High Street.

  • How to write product descriptions that will attract the right clients to your site and will sell your creative products much easier.

  • How to get the word out once you have launched your website with practical marketing and social media tips, how to create a social media plan and start to get some traffic to your site.


This is an online workshop

This workshop is online, and you can join us from anywhere in the UK or overseas! You join us from your own computer or laptop, from the comfort of your own home or studio.

So, wherever you are, you can access our practical, real life, expert training. All you need is a computer and access to the internet. And you don't need to be highly technically advanced at all, as we will give you very clear instructions on how to register for the sessions, and we give you access to our user-friendly online platform before the workshop, so you can make yourself comfortable before the day starts.

The best things about our online workshops are:

  • You can join us from your own home or studio space. So no worries about travelling or parking somewhere. You can have the best food and cuppa tea in the world, and the cleanest toilet too (!). You can even join us in your pyjamas if you like ...

  • It keeps the costs down, so we can provide you with expert advice at an affordable price!

  • You get to 'meet' other creatives from across the UK, and very often international creatives too! Broaden your circle, and connect with them after the workshop on our private online platform.

  • All the sessions will be recorded, and you will have 6 months access. So if you are not able to join us for the day, or have to miss a session, that's not a problem at all. Or if you want to watch something again, then you can. And also, in a couple of months you can go through the entire or parts of the workshop again if you like.


On Wednesday 20 September I will host 4 mini-workshops:

  1. An intro to selling online: We will start the day with an introduction to 9 different ways to present and sell your creative products online. Some are obvious but others will be offering more surprising opportunities! And I will share with you some of the best ecommerce and website building software to create your own site or work with a developer or designer. But you can't do them all so we will look at what the best options are for you and how to select the 2 - 3 online opportunities that are best for you and your clients. And I will share with you how to present luxury creative products online too.

  2. The 9 steps to launch your website or online shop: In this intensive session I will take you step-by-step through the entire process of decision making and the actions you need to go through to launch your website successfully very soon. From setting your own website goal and deadline, to branding and deciding which products to sell, to costing and pricing your work correctly, to getting the best images and writing text that will help you sell, to how to send your items to your clients and promoting your site. We will cover it all, and you will get handy to-do-lists and check list so you won't forget anything. We have broken down the entire process of launching your site into do-able steps!

  3. An intro to getting your site found and writing to get more online sales: In this very practical session I will show you the basics of SEO (search engine optimisation) so that your potential clients will find your website and creative products. And I will show you how to write product titles and descriptions that will increase your online sales. Lots of practical tips!

  4. Get ready to launch & get the word out! Launching your site is step number one, but then you do need to start getting interest too! In this final session of the day I will give you my marketing and social media tips to get more interest in your site and how to start driving traffic to your website or online shop.

    At the end of the day there will be a 45min Q&A call with Patricia to answer any questions you might have.

    You will get homework between these session to put your learning immediately into practice (such as writing product descriptions!) and to start using your new knowledge and expertise for your own online shop or website.

    All 4 sessions will be recorded and put onto our private online learning platform, where you can network with the other participants too.

    You can watch the recordings again and again (the workshop recordings + presentations will be available for you for 6 months, which is till the Spring of 2018 so very useful to prepare for any of the Autumn trade shows or craft fair Xmas shows!). You can also ask questions here after the event, and Patricia will answer them on the private forum.

    If you are unable to join us for the entire day then you can catch up with the recordings, and ask questions via our private forum.
