An engaging and interactive talk on the development of arms and armour, and Heraldry, through the Middle Ages [c.1000-1500AD]. The talk will explain on the rise and eventual fall of medieval armour across Europe, the changing styles and design. It will also provide an opportunity to see and handle handcrafted replica items from this period. 

Bio

Ian Pycroft is a lifelong history enthusiast, starting in 1985 as a performer in historical theatre and re-enactment. Later going onto to establish Black Knight Historical in 2003. His work over the last 30 years has involved him working in public events for heritage sites and museums, and in the world of film and TV - much more will be divulged on the night itself.
