The Dever Society AGM 2021 Virtual Zoom Event

About this Event

Please join us virtually for our AGM on the 13th April at 1930.

Everyone is welcome and you don't need to be a member.

We have two guest speakers this year.

Cllr Jackie Porter, Chair of Local Plan Advisory Group at Winchester City Council, will update us on the Winchester Local Plan and the first public consultation.

Micheldever resident and star gazer, Dave Worley, will present an informative talk about our night sky and what we actually see when we look up at the stars. We will gain an understanding of why we see stars the way we do, how far away they really are and what makes them so bright. He will also discuss the impact light pollution has on our view of the night sky and what it means for the stars we see.

While Dave admits, “I’m no Stephen Hawkin,” astronomy has been a hobby of his since he was a child. He has a degree in physics which included astrophysics and is a self-confessed night skies nerd.

Please register for the event by clicking on the 'Register' button above.

You can find the Zoom Link on the Event Page.

The AGM information pack will be uploaded 7 days before the meeting.
