About this event
Join us for a workshop on the environmental impact of digital technologies!
Ever wondered what’s really behind your screen? Not the code, but the carbon. From streaming endless cat videos to saving every file in the cloud, our digital habits carry a surprisingly heavy environmental cost. It takes around 800 kilograms of raw materials to produce just one two-kilogram laptop. That is a lot of hidden impact for something that fits in your bag.
That is exactly why The Social Hub Eindhoven is inviting Green Café to host The Digital Collage, an engaging and eye-opening workshop that explores the environmental footprint of our digital lives and invites us to imagine how things could be done differently.
The Digital Collage is an interactive and creative session built around teamwork and conversation. Participants create a visual collage that maps out the lifecycle and impact of digital technology. Along the way, you will add your own creative touch, share insights with the group, and reflect on the broader consequences of our digital consumption.
But it does not stop there. The workshop ends with a conversation about possible solutions and the choices we can make, both individually and collectively, for a more sustainable digital future.
Curious? Join us at The Social Hub Eindhoven and take a closer look at the true cost of your screen time and what we can do to lighten the load.
