About this event
All social workers in Cumberland Council are invited to attend a free training course to improve their digital knowledge and skills.
The leveraging digital development project, within the North Cumbria health and social care footprint, will facilitate up-to-date digital upskilling and reskilling for the social work practitioner population. Attendees will be supported to consider the role of technical function digital skills in social work, digital as relevant to the social work practice context, and the significance of digital professionalism, values and ethics in this current iteration of our social world. An opportunity to engage with a digital capabilities and confidence self-assessment, pre and post the learning experience, will afford practitioners with evidence that will serve as a CPD submission to the social work regulator.
The session will be designed to reflect regulatory digital requirements, the Government’s recently announced analogue to digital shift, and aspects of the newly proposed digital social care education programme. Furthermore, the session will serve as an opportunity to access real-time insights into the who, what, how, and where of digital upskilling in and for the social work professional population, and in the context of practice within an integrated health and social care workforce ecology.
The training will be delivered by Professor Amanda Taylor-Beswick.
