It all started with a song and a shared goal, to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys organisation, hence the name. The Dodgy Jumpers soon realised their shared love of folk music and, many kegs later, a group of musicians was formed. Then, after even more kegs, the full band line-up was established.
The Dodgy Jumpers are a supergroup affectionately referred to as the Magnificent Seven. They have been taking the local Ayrshire music scene by storm playing in a variety of settings including but not limited to Dunure Festival of the Sea, Girvan’s Harbour Gala and the annual Garden Party at the Tam O’Shanter.
With Folk being the band's primary genre, the Jumpers also dabble in blues, rock and country all with a signature flare and super hot take on every song. As the youngest member of the band, bass player JP Gourlay (30) says “We play and sing every song our way, and that's what it means to be a Jumper”.
A night with the Dodgy Jumpers is unforgettable. Expect energy, vibe and passion throughout the evening from this group of maestro musicians. Bring your best dancing shoes: you'll definitely need them!
