About this event

Join Dr Pam Taylor, of the British Dragonfly Society, in a Dragonfly Workshop. Not only will you spot adults in flight, but a session of pond dipping should reveal the underwater larval life of these stunning insects as well. By the end of the workshop you will have a good grasp of just how amazing these voracious insect predators really are, and hopefully a keen desire to go on to learn more about them.

Dr Taylor is the Norfolk County Dragonfly Recorder, and a committee member of the British Dragonfly Society. Her interests are dragonfly conservation, with all her work aimed at protecting dragonfly habitats and making people more aware of this fascinating group of insects.

We have kept the price of tickets as low as possible to just cover our costs. Please be aware a small booking fee will be added to your order.

During the day we will take a short lunch break (bring your own food & drink).

Please note that there are no toilet facilities onsite.

Meeting place: Pingo Trail car park, A1075 Thetford Road (Near Stow Bedon Road turning, opposite side of A1075)

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is the oldest Wildlife Trust in the country. The purchase of 400 acres of marsh at Cley on the north Norfolk coast in 1926 to be held ‘in perpetuity as a bird breeding sanctuary’ provided a blueprint for nature conservation which has now been replicated across the UK. Our vision for Norfolk: where the future of wildlife is protected and enhanced through sympathetic management and people are connected with and inspired by Norfolk’s wildlife and wild spaces.
