The Dram Pilgrims are a whisky club looking to taste some unusual drams and having a good dose of fun along the way.

This inaugural tasting will be a "Guess the Order" format where the drams will be revealed but you have to work out which order they are in based on the distillery tasting notes.

As it will the weekend before Burns' Night we are ensuring there is Haggis, Neeps and Tatties available too (other options will be availble).

The drams selected for the first tasting are:

• Ardbeg Wee Beastie
• Glencadam Reserva Andalucia
• Glenmorangie "Tale of Cake"
• Bladnoch 10yo (distillery bottling)
• Glendronach Traditionally Peated
• Kilkerran 12yo (distillery bottling)

At the end of the evening we will pat those on the back who got the most correct and also we will have a vote on the "Dram of the Night". Always contentious and subjective but a lot of fun.

That is all there is to it. Main aim is to have a fun evening and try and get back to some normality after the delight that was 2020. Having said that, the event will be run based on current government guidelines. Currently, it is possible with distancing and up to 6 from 2 households per table. We would ask eveyone to respect the guidelines to allow us to have more tastings!

Accomodation may be available at the hotel for those who live outwith Grantown-on-Spey and may wish to make a weekend of it (like myself!).
