Metal produces an exciting multidisciplinary programme of international and UK artists in residence and runs a wide range of events, exhibitions and participatory projects.In Liverpool, Metal work out of Edge Hill Station, the world’s oldest active passenger railway station. Metal completed a major renovation of the previously empty, historic buildings in 2009. The original 1836 Engine House, Boiler Room and Accumulator Tower now serve as a cultural and creative hub for artists, the neighbourhood and wider city region, carrying on the building’s proud history of innovation, aspiration and technology.

Granby Winter Garden

Join us for our next Drawing Social event taking place at Granby Winter Garden on Monday 25 March from 5pm – 6.30pm.The Drawing Social is a bi-monthly, informal drawing network. The events are open to any creatives, of all skills and backgrounds, interested in exploring storytelling through print, zines, and comics (over 18 years of age). We aim to bring together like-minded artists to share skills and interests, and to develop the DIY print and comics scene in Liverpool.Over the course of the event, we will invite you to share your own projects, participate in discussions and enjoy vegan food and snacks.Come along and bring your own drawings to share!
