This is an outdoor event - please dress appropriately
Tours may be postponed due to severe weather warnings.
The tour route is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) Duration 80 - 90 minutes.
The Dundee Engineering Tour - does NOT include entry to any attractions or the Port of Dundee.
We shall depart the V&A sign at 3.30 pm please be there 5 minutes beforehand so I can check tickets and run though the itinerary.
Look out for a guy with a SFP baseball cap.

The jackups at the Port of Dundee are not being decommissioned. They are here for maintenance waiting for their next job so they could head out to sea at any time.
Please note the jackup in the above photo has left Dundee but there is another further along the shore. However I will talking from photos taken on board a jackup drill rig.

It’s mostly about engineering with some history in regard to the adventures of the RRS Discovery.
The walking tour loop is about 1.5 miles or 2.4 km However it is very flat with no steps to climb. The duration of the tours will be about 60 - 80 minutes.
Dress like an onion. In layers, with warm waterproof clothing. Don’t forget comfortable footwear, hats and gloves. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The route is lovely when the sun is out, in horizontal rain, not so much.
