The Dunwells return to The Croft Hall for a guaranteed sellout - they impressed from their very first appearance and we look forward to welcoming them back!

Their songwriting skills have attracted the attention of Simon Cowell who has invited them to join his songwriting team. They are a very successful indie-folk-pop duo with strong vocals, powerful melodies & heartfelt lyrics. Their debut album Blind Sighted Faith was described as a "warm folk-rock record with flavours of Americana and Brit rock" with "carefully picked banjo, hard-strumming guitar," and inward looking lyrics "that make you feel something, without being overly sentimental."

As the band has grown and developed over time, they have moved away from their folk beginnings. Although the band still emphasises heartfelt lyrics and big choruses, they have moved towards a fusion of acoustic instrumentation and electronics, drawing influence from their shared love of bands like Bon Iver, Elbow and Damien Rice. They have built audiences across the world having toured extensively in USA, Europe & the UK as well as having supported artists including Mumford & Sons, Tom Jones, Scouting, Bryan Adams & Elbow.

The Dunwells specialise in the kind of rootsy songwriting that brings to mind the vocal harmonies of Crosby Stills and Nash and Mumford and Sons.” The Boot
