The Dying Wish - A tragicomedy
Get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions at The Dying Wish! This tragicomedy will have you laughing one moment and reaching for tissues the next.
Set in a crumbling execution chamber, The Dying Wish follows two hangmen, Rooney and Ingmar, struggling to execute Paul Freeman, a man condemned for ambiguous, increasingly nonsense crimes that reveal more about the broken system than himself.
As the new execution method fails, and unexpected visitors show up, the piece spirals into absurdity, dehumanization, and moral ambiguity, confronting audiences with the contradictions of institutional violence and our collective moral blindness.
The play culminates in an eye-opening, unexpected finale!
Darkly comic, surreal, and uncomfortably real, The Dying Wish shines a light on the moral absurdity in our own world.
