Abney was planted as an arboretum in 1840 and is now a woodland nature reserve. The walk will be focusing on the significance of ageing trees for wildlife. The meeting point is by the main gates to Abney Park, on Stoke Newington High Street.

Russell Miller is a professional Arboriculturalist and ecologist. He is chair of the Ancient Tree Forum and activities coordinator for Tree Musketeers.
