Event description

Description

Editing is what separates home movies from films.

We will be using Premiere Pro, which is a non-linear, non-destructive, digital editing system and is used by many filmmakers, including David Fincher, the Coen brothers and Walter Murch, for major film releases.

In the morning you will learn how to set-up a Premiere Pro editing project with timelines, sequences, bins, effects and markers. We will go through the clip selection process and build a sequence on the timeline.

You will learn how to make seamless transitions between shots and tell the story of your film in a succinct, emotional and enjoyable way.

After lunch you will learn how to edit dialogue, use basic effects and add music and sound effects to your film.

We will be working with footage shot specifically for this workshop.

For more details about shooting film footage see the shooting workshop.

We will provide tea and coffee throughout the day.

Lunch is included and will usually be a vegetarian soup with bread, cheese and fruit.

Free on-site parking is available

You can also book our SCRIPT WRITING WORKSHOP
