Art, Business and Law LLM Launch

Promotional event hosted by Clyde & Co LLP

23rd January 2017

2.00 pm to 7.30 pm

Seminar – The effect of Brexit on the law of the art market and arts management

What will be the full effect of the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union on the law of the art market and arts management? A number of areas of law could potentially be subject to change when the UK formally pulls out of the EU, including with regards to copyright, moral rights, the artist’s resale right, digitisation, art crime, the restitution of cultural objects, art disputes, ADR and contractual issues. This topical seminar is being held as part of the launch of the new Art, Business and Law LLM programme offered by the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary, University of London and the Institute of Art and Law. The afternoon seminar, which will be eligible for CPD points, will be followed by a drinks reception.
