The interactive session will cover:

The role of the Chair

The Charity Governance Code and its implications for boards

Essential trustee skills

Different roles trustees will play

Governing to make a difference: A Governance checklist

Registration will be open from 13:30 and the training will begin at 14:00 sharp.


About the Trainer:

Tesse Akpeki

As a governance and leadership trainer, Tesse approaches governance training using real life examples and viewing good practice from a practical angle. She is chair of the Governance and Nominations Committee of International Students House, and has served as a trustee and a board member of organisations in the voluntary and community sector, the public sector (including the NHS) and in the private sector. As a trainer she has worked with over 1,000 not-for profit organisations at local, national and international level. People leave her sessions with practical tools to govern their organisations.
