The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector Regulations
Event Information
About this event
Mid Devon District Council are pleased to offer this free training for landlords.
Join this webinar designed to help landlords of privately rented properties understand the new Electrical Safety Standards regulations introduced earlier this year.
NAPIT’s Chief Technical Officer Frank Bertie will be joining us to present a webinar on the latest changes to the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector in England. NAPIT are one of the leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operators in the building services and fabric sector with over 20 years experience. As you will be aware, from 1st June, Landlords in England are required to have every electrical installation within their Private Rented Property inspected and tested by a qualified and competent electrical inspector at least every 5 years, and any faults found must be rectified by a suitable competent electrical installer. This applies to new tenancies from the 1st July 2020, and existing tenancies from the 1st April 2021.
We have taken the lead in providing detailed guidance through this webinar; to allow people to help prepare and support you when understanding the new regulations .
