The Hawthorns School was very special to Ellie Soutter. She loved the school and thrived during her time there, so this will be a very emotive evening for a lot of us, however we will make this a funfilled event in aid of Ellie's Legacy Foundation.

We are so pleased to announce that the former head, Tim Johns and his lovely wife Evelyne, will be joining us as VIP guests for the event, along with the existing headmaster.

Celebrity guest Speaker 'Eddie The Eagle'

Eddie was quite literally catapulted to fame when he represented Great Britain in the Ski Jumping event at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. His sheer determination to participate, despite a lack of kit and profile, endeared him to people around the world and particularly the British public. He soon became known as the 'notoriously tenacious British underdog ski jumper' who charmed the world.

Eddie shot to fame again, in 2016 when a Hollywood block-buster movie was made about his journey to the Olympics.

Eddie has been a great ambassador of the Ellie Soutter Foundation, which helps talented young wintersports athletes achieve their ambitions, in a way that wasn't available to him in 1988.
