Event description

Description

The Elliot Foundation are delighted to invite you to our annual national English conference.

We have a great line-up of teachers, authors, researchers and experts who will explore all aspects of how we can ensure that our children love to read and have authentic, expressive and creative writers’ voices. This year’s speakers include:

David Didau author of the award-winning blog, The Learning Spy, and the best-selling books: The Perfect English Lesson, The Secret of Literacy and What If Everything You Knew About Education Was Wrong? David writes about ordinary teachers' constraints and irritations, exploring his own successes and failures from his years of teaching, as well as the latest education research and cognitive psychology.

Farrah Serroukh (Centre for Literacy in Primary education) will be discussing ethnic representation within children’s literature

Bob Cox (Author) who will be looking at ideas for writing inspired by great writers.

James Clements (founder of Shakespeare and more) leading a session relating to putting English at the heart of the curriculum

If you are booking on behalf of the Elliot Foundation Academy please select "The Elliot Foundation member of staff" registration option on the booking form and select the "Invoice Option" to make payment.
