THE EMMA PRESS: SUBMISSION WINDOW DROP-IN SESSION
Overview
Join us at Voce for the latest in our regular series of drop-in sessions with Birmingham-based indie publishers THE EMMA PRESS as their submissions window opens for the first time in 2026.
Founded in 2012, The Emma Press is a Birmingham-based publisher of poetry & short-form prose, with a particularly keen eye on Midlands-based writers. If you’re working on a book-length essay or novella & aspiring to get your writing published, book a slot to talk to the team about the submissions process, drill down into exactly what they are looking for, & discover how to make your proposal stand out.
This submission window will be open between SUNDAY 3rd & SUNDAY 8th MARCH for PROSE submissions (essays & novellas) only.
PLEASE NOTE: poetry pamphlets, short story collections, & picture books are not being considered in this submission window.
This is one of our HOME events, placing our great city right at the heart & celebrating the depth & diversity of the Birmingham & West Midlands literary scene through talks, launches, symposiums & more.
