The 14-18 NOW Pavilion at the Empire Cafe hosts the 'Letter to an Unknown Soldier' project by Neil Bartlett and Kate Pullinger.
At this specially commissioned workshop led by writer Catriona Lexy-Campbell you will learn something about the art of letter writing and will have an opportunity to write your own letter to an unknown soldier. You could write your letter in English, Scots, Gaelic or any other language you like.
Catriona Lexy Campbell is originally from the Isle of Lewis and has worked in the Gaelic arts since early childhood as a writer, actor, poet, performer and theatre maker. Following graduation from University of Edinburgh (M.A. Mental Philosophy) she worked with Eden Court Theatre in Inverness as the Gaelic Drama Artist. After this she focussed on her own writing/acting. She has four books published in Gaelic and have another two pending publication. She is the first Gaelic Associate Artist for the National Theatre of Scotland.
