We are excited to announce that EnterprisingYou are hosting an event aimed at bringing businesses, support services and partners together.

Calling all Bolton businesses!

EnterprisingYou are hosting the Virtual Roadshow to celebrate some of the incredible stories from businesses in the borough over the past year, we’ll also discuss how support services such as EnterprisingYou can support your business and the local economy in 2021.

About this Event

For over 12 months, EnterprisingYou has offered vital support to over a thousand self-employed businesses from across Greater Manchester, many of those from Bolton. From specialist training providers, business mentors and coaches, finance and health and wellbeing specialists and more, EnterprisingYou offers free and fully funded bespoke support that works around you, and all in one place.

Not only will you hear about EnterprisingYou, we’ll also have Q&A’s with business owners who’ve accessed support who will speak candidly about their experiences in 2020 and plans for 2021 and beyond.

We’ll also have special guest speakers from Bolton and offer you the chance to ask the panel questions. Following the event, you will have the opportunity to speak 1:1 with a member of the EnterprisingYou team.


Who is this event for?

  • Anyone who is self-employed, this can include sole traders, Ltd companies, social enterprises, gig & freelance workers, franchisee’s etc
  • Business owners who would like to grow and diversify their business and gain support to increase income, health and wellbeing, finances and upskilling.
  • Larger organisations from sectors such as distribution, construction and manufacturing who may have a large contingent of self-employed contractors within their supply chain
  • Training providers or anyone with a specialism, such as accountants, web and marketing professionals, hair and beauty trainers, employment law advisors who may be able to offer their expertise to small businesses.
  • Representatives from services such as DWP and citizens advice, trade associations, banks, employability providers, networking groups, libraries and co-working spaces.

  • Peer Mentoring from experienced business owners

Launched in February 2020, EnterprisingYou is a government-funded pilot programme specially designed to support self-employed individuals, gig economy workers and small business owners across Greater Manchester. This exciting new pilot programme will support GM residents with free advice and access to training, from personal skills and career development to business finance and mentoring. It’s ideal for individuals who want to discover their growth potential and directions to achieve their goals.
