Event description

Description

Join us at RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond on Saturday 21 October for a unique event celebrating the work of our artist in residence, Susannah Ramsay. Take a candlelit walk through the woods and view Susannah’s filmpoem, The Essence of Place, on a large screen outside in the open air. This short film, lasting only 5 minutes, will play on a loop, and will be screened between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

Susannah has been working with us at Loch Lomond as part of her PhD research for the University of Stirling, and Glasgow School of Art. The Essence of Place is the final piece of work, for her second year, and presents the landscape and wildlife of Loch Lomond through the changing seasons. In it, Susannah explores the meaning of place as a way to connect with memories, and focuses on our relationship with nature and landscapes.

Booking is essential. Slots to view this audiovisual installation are every 15 minutes. Parking for the event is at Ross Priory. You will be met at Ross Priory and transferred the short distance to RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond by mini-bus.

If you have mobility issues, please contact emma.martinelli@rspb.org.uk directly for additional parking options.

If purchasing an RSPB members rate ticket, you will need to bring your membership cards with you on the night.
