Description

Learn how to tell compelling stories with data at this compact evening course with graphic designer Valentina D'Efilippo.

Imagine learning a whole new vocabulary in one evening. Data visualisation is the fast-evolving graphic language that is transforming design, data journalism and presentations. In just three hours, you will pick up the basics of creating attractive and persuasive infographics.

This fast-paced but easy-to-follow seminar with graphic designer Valentina D'Efilippo provides an introduction to data visualisation's potential as a storytelling medium.

Valentina will give you a practical understanding of the data visualisation process, including how to draw wireframes that can be transformed into interactive or editorial infographics. You'll learn how to assemble and interpret datasets, and understand the basics of various standard visualisation techniques, as well as the principles behind constructing a story based on data.

By the end of the evening, you will know how to interpret a brief and adapt your final project for your audience to ensure the best possible outcome.
